Hello everyone and welcome to a special blog post officially launching the 2nd annual English WTLS Awards event, which will be held every year to recognize the most important members of the Welcome To Los Santos community. I sincerely hope that you will enjoy this event and that as many of you as possible will actively participate, both in sending nominations and in the following voting.

Categories:

1. Most Active Player of 2023
Description: This could be a player who has played for hundreds or thousands of hours this year, or a player who has won contests many times, or a player who has organised their own events throughout the year. In this category you can nominate any player who is actively playing on s2 or s3.
Prize: 3rd place 100 Tokens - 2nd place 250 Tokens - 1st place 500 Tokens

2. Most Popular Player of 2023
Description: This could be a player you often play with on the server or a player you think has a good sense of humor. In this category you can nominate any player who is actively playing on s2 or s3.

3. Most Helpful Player of 2023
Description: This could be a player who has personally helped you solve a problem or a player who has answered some of your questions about the game or the server. In this category you can nominate any player who is actively playing on s2 or s3.
Prize: 3rd place 100 Tokens - 2nd place 250 Tokens - 1st place 500 Tokens

4. Best Driver of 2023
Description: This could be a player who always manages to outrun police officers in a police chase, or a player who frequently wins races, or a player who excels at stunt driving, drifting or piloting. In this category you can nominate any player who is actively playing on s2 or s3.
Prize: 3rd place 100 Tokens - 2nd place 250 Tokens - 1st place 500 Tokens

5. Biggest Skiller of 2023
Description: This could be a player who frequently and successfully completes assassinations, or a player who frequently wins gang wars or deathmatches, or a player who is good with miniguns, micro SMGs, sawn-off shotgun or other weapons. In this category you can nominate any player who is actively playing on s2 or s3.
Prize: 3rd place 100 Tokens - 2nd place 250 Tokens - 1st place 500 Tokens

6. Most Creative Creator of 2023
Description: This could be a youtuber, blogger or creator of interesting/funny screenshots. In this category you can nominate any user who is actively making content related to WTLS.
Prize: 3rd place 100 Tokens - 2nd place 250 Tokens - 1st place 500 Tokens

7. Best s2 Player of 2023
Description: In this category you can nominate any player who primarily plays on s2. This should be a very active player on this server who you feel deserves recognition, for whatever reason.
Prize: 3rd place $10,000,000 on s2 - 2nd place $25,000,000 on s2 - 1st place $50,000,000 on s2

8. Best s3 Player of 2023
Description: In this category you can nominate any player who primarily plays on s3. This should be a very active player on this server who you feel deserves recognition, for whatever reason.
Prize: 3rd place $10,000,000 on s3 - 2nd place $25,000,000 on s3 - 1st place $50,000,000 on s3

9. Best FiveM 2 Player of 2023
Description: In this category you can nominate any player who primarily plays on FiveM 2. This should be a very active player on this server who you feel deserves recognition, for whatever reason.
Prize: 3rd place $10,000,000 on f2 - 2nd place $25,000,000 on f2 - 1st place $50,000,000 on f2

10. Best s2 Organization of 2023
Description: For example, it could be an organisation that you think has a great boss, a great team, great rewards or all of these things combined. In this category you can nominate any active organization on s2.
Prize: 3rd place $10,000,000 for the CEO of that organization - 2nd place $25,000,000 for the CEO of that organization - 1st place $50,000,000 for the CEO of that organization

11. Best s3 Organization of 2023
Description: For example, it could be an organisation that you think has a great boss, a great team, great rewards or all of these things combined. In this category you can nominate any active organization on s3.
Prize: 3rd place $10,000,000 for the CEO of that organization - 2nd place $25,000,000 for the CEO of that organization - 1st place $50,000,000 for the CEO of that organization

12. Best Update of 2023
Description: This could be a brand new feature that got you active on the server again, or a major improvement to an existing feature. Alternatively, you can also nominate a feature that was removed this year that you think is a good thing because you didn't like it for some reason.
Prize: None.

How to submit nominations?
Each player has the opportunity to nominate one player/one organization/one update in each category. Submit nominations via the comments below this blog and always use the following template. See the "Rules" section for more information.

1st category: no nomination
2nd category: no nomination
3rd category: no nomination
4th category: no nomination
5th category: no nomination

Rules:

1) Each nomination must follow the template above. Instead of the text "no nomination", in the 1st-9th category, please enter the web nickname of the player you want to nominate. In the 10-11th category, the name of the organization you want to nominate. And in the 12th category, a description of the update you want to nominate.

2) Each player has the right to make no nominations in some categories. Even a player has the right to make a nomination in only one single category. Even in this case, he is obliged to follow the above template and in the categories where he does not want to make a nomination, he should leave the original text unchanged, i.e. "no nomination".

3) Each player may nominate only one player in categories 1-9, may nominate only one organization in categories 10-11 and may nominate only one update in category 12.

4) A player cannot nominate himself in any category. The exception are categories 10 and 11, where a player may nominate an organization in which he/she serves as CEO or regular member.

5) The 3 players with the most nominations will always advance to the finals of categories 1-9. The 3 organizations with the most nominations will always advance to the finals of categories 10-11. And the 3 updates with the most nominations will always advance to the finals of the 12th category.

6) In the categories, only nominate the player/organization/update that fits the description of the category. E.g. in category 7, a player who does not play on s2 cannot be nominated, in category 9, a player who does not play on FiveM 2 cannot be nominated, and in category 12, an update that was not released in 2023 cannot be nominated.

Before the finals begin, the judges for each category will verify that the top three players/organizations/updates with the most nominations match the descriptions of the categories. If they do not, the non-matching nominated player will be eliminated and the next player with most nominations will advance to the finals instead. All eliminated nominations will be listed in the informational blog post that will be published on December 26.

7) A player may not nominate the same player in more than one category. E.g. Player John may not nominate player Carl in both 2nd and 5th category.

However, it may happen that one player will make it to the finals in more than one category and may even win in all of them. E.g. John can nominate Carl in category 2, David can nominate Carl in category 5. Carl can then advance to the finals of both category 2 and 5 and win both.

8) Each player is allowed to win only once in each category. E.g. Player Carl will win in 2023 in the 6th category. Thus, in 2024 he will not be able to win again in the 6th category, but will still be able to win in the other categories.

In this context, a player may not nominate a player in a category who has already won once in the past in that category. For this reason, a list of all previous category winners will always be provided in future years so that players can keep track of who cannot be nominated anymore in a given category.

9) Only comments with your nominations are allowed under this blog post and they have to obey the template and these rules. Please post feedback and questions to this forum post: https://www.gta-multiplayer.cz/en/topic/95327

Any comments below this blog post that are not nominations will be removed. Likewise, nominations that do not follow the above template will be removed and not counted.

10) It is strictly forbidden to bribe players in any way in exchange for them nominating you. Any player who violates this rule will be immediately disqualified. Likewise, it is strictly forbidden to attempt to bribe any of the judges.

11) If a player who has received a large enough number of nominations in category 4 or 5 to advance to the finals is banned for cheats before the final voting begins, that player will be disqualified and the next player with most nominations will advance to the finals instead. E.g. Player Carl will receive the second highest number of nominations in category 5, but will be banned for aimbot before nominations close. Carl will then be disqualified in category 5.

Flokii - administrator (Member of the jury)
xARC - administrator (Member of the jury)

The only task of the jury will be to count the number of nominations for specific players/organizations/updates in each category and then check their relevance - whether all nominees meet the rules and fit the descriptions of the categories. If it is clear that the nomination of a player/organization/update is not relevant (e.g. that a player nominated in category 7 does not play on s2), the nominee will be eliminated. A list of all eliminated nominations will be listed in the informational blog post that will be published on December 26.

December 25 - the end of nominations
December 26 - informational blog with a summary of the finalists and the start of voting
December 31 - the end of voting
January 01 - announcement of the winners via blog post

FAQ:

Can I nominate a member of the admin team?
Yes.

Can a player nominate the same player in more than one category?
No, a player cannot nominate the same player in more than one category.

Can a player nominate themselves in a category?
No, it's not possible. With the exception of categories 10-11, in which a player may nominate his organization or an organization of which he is a member.

Can I nominate a player by typing their in-game nick instead of their web nick?
No, it's mandatory to include the players' web nicknames in your nominations to avoid confusion.

Can I nominate an organization that belongs to a player which I nominated in another category?
Although it is not allowed to nominate the same player in more than one category, it is possible to nominate an organization that belongs to a player nominated in another category. E.g. Player John may not nominate player Carl in both 2nd and 5th category, but it is possible to nominate Carl in category 2 and Carl's organization in category 11. For the Czech version of the WTLS Awards it worked the same way.

How will it be handled if there is a tie?
If the third and fourth most nominated players both receive the same number of nominations, then in that case both would advance to the finals, thus the category would be decided by a vote between the four finalists. And the one who will receive the least number of votes during the voting would not be eligible for any prize. If there is a situation that two of three/four finalists got the same number of votes in the final, then rewards would be divided equally between these two finalists.

Example 1: There will be three players in the final - one will have the upper hand and the other two will receive the same number of votes. The rewards for second and third place are 250 and 100 Tokens respectively. This would give both players 175 Tokens.
Example 2: There will be four organisations in the final - the winner will have 50 votes, the second will have 30 and then the third and fourth will both have 20 votes. The prize for third place is $10M. Thus, the CEOs of both of these organizations would receive $5M.
Example 3: There will be three players in the final - all will get the same number of votes. The rewards for first, second and third place are 500, 250 and 100 Tokens respectively. This would give all finalists 283 Tokens.
