Investing when stock is in loss, i.e to many stocks in unit is actually bearish market, you said it opposite..anyway, you cannot follow the market fundamentals here because you really do not know much about companies here, you see it is a game and not real life where certain scenarios affects buying behaviour of people. I just want to say, market is not that much developed in-game if you look at it this way. How do you earn money in stock market? To put it in a simple way, whenever people tend to buy a particular stock then market value of that stock increases, when investors think that it's time to sells the stock because it is showing signs of volatility most people usually sells the stock units, thus prices fall. So you cannot expect a stock to soar if it's already down too much because no one is interested in buying it. Bearish market is profitable but do you really know which stock you should be investing in? If you go for random pick, you will end up losing more than earning, no matter it's short term or long term scenario.

Fun fact: The event created in this video had 50million event prize and after event ended, I had to pay all 50million from my pocket via /contribution 1m 50times( to event pool)due to certain circumstances

I'm kinda neutral with this update, it will definitely reduce some random dm but it would be great if there will be more ways to reduce mental stat, such playing 1hour = -2mental stat. There could be better options for this too.
